Vilma is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from De La Salle University.
An IT practitioner for 10 years with vast experience in all aspects of IT project management, systems analysis, design, development, training and support.
Her love affair with the banking industry started when she left an IT career in ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and joined Standard Chartered Bank Hongkong in 1991.
She spent 30 years of her corporate career in various areas of banking namely, management of retail banking business, operations, sales, customer service, credit and collections with 3 foreign banks -Standard Chartered Bank Hongkong and Philippines, Citibank NA Philippines, Chinatrust Commercial Bank (now CTBC Bank) and with 2 local banks – East West Bank and Philippine Veterans Bank.
In 2018, Vilma left the corporate world and transform herself into becoming an entrepreneur. She is currently the CEO of WCA Business Ventures Inc., a family corporation whose main business is to design and build air-conditioning and ventilation systems to its chosen markets. With her passion and commitment, she was able to successfully implement its marketing and sales strategies with the help of an effective operational and logistics support. As a result, the business was able to achieve its return on investment (ROI) in less than 1 year and grew its assets by 360% after 2 years in operations.
Her advocacy is to assist would be entrepreneurs to find their dream business and become successful business owners someday. By doing so, it will generate more jobs for Filipinos and help build the SME industry in becoming the major contributor to the Philippine economy.
This led her to join LINK Philippines as a Business Broker.
Vilma’s extensive knowledge and skills in the overall management of business from strategy formulation, planning, marketing, sales, operations, credit, collection, HR, IT, financial management and customer service will undoubtedly be a strong foundation as she embarks on a new career journey in the business brokering industry.
