Caryl Joanne Nonato
Caryl believes in the importance of diligence and hard work.
Caryl took part-time jobs manning a small bookstand and internet café at a tender age. She started and ran Rylca Enterprise from 2016-2018, which traded made-to-order handwoven textiles sourced from Indigenous communities and weaving centres nationwide, while she completed her undergraduate degree on Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management (BSEM) at the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) where she graduated as a Magna Cum Laude. She learned the intricacies of business through academic and experiential practice.
She was a scholar for eight (8) years from high school to college. She became the Associate Vice President for EM in the Enterprise Management Association (EMA), the official academic organization for the School of Management. She also won various awards related to business plan writing and marketing. She was a finalist in Entrepreneur’s Organization - Global Student Entrepreneurs Awards (EO-GSEA), Champion in the Typhoon Haiyan Category of Be the Next Gkonomist by Gawad Kalinga and Best Business Plan Awardee for BSEM Batch 2017. She was also an envoy of excellence for the Junior Networkers Society, the student arm of the Public and Internationals Affairs office of UA&P (PIA-UA&P), where she was trained to handle diplomats, guests and internationals students in university-related events.
She loves reading the Bible, business articles related to entrepreneurship, finance, breakthroughs in sciences and research, and YA fantasy-adventure novels. She is also into volunteering for civic activities and causes.
As a novice LINK Business Broker, Caryl is an avid learner who is always up for the challenge; currently she is trained by her senior colleagues. She is on her way to learning how to diligently handle the uniqueness and distinctiveness of every business venture and how to offer it best to qualified buyers. Caryl can read financial statements, market businesses, create information memorandums, filter potential buyers, adeptly manage negotiations and close a deal.
